Use the information below to create your own Nestbox Data Cards. You can always add and remove fields when applicable. Note: Species code can be found on the American Ornithologists' Union (AOU) North American Bird Checklists. Species Codes for the birds listed on the Nestbox Table can be found here.



Nestbox ID Number	The number that's listed on the nestbox (if applicable)
Nest ID Number	Species code, nest number, year (i.e., WBNU-4-97 "4th White-Breasted Nuthatch nest for 1997")
Date/Description of Nest When Discovered	Enter date and description when you first discovered the nest
Location of Nest	Enter the location of where the nest was found
Date of First Egg	Enter date of the first egg. This date can be estimated.
Clutch Size	The number of eggs in the clutch
Hatching Date	Enter date eggs hatched
Brood Size	The number of nestlings that hatched
Fledging Date	The date fledglings left the nestbox
Failed Nest	Enter date and cause of nestbox failure
Comments	Weather conditions, predation information, egg and nest description, or any information relating to changing area conditions
